On Tuesday, September 24, citizens and students in Macon County gathered, once again, to continue preparing and working towards their goals of making the highest scores possible on the ACT. The second ACT prep session concentrated on math, and it was a night which was packed heavily with mathematical terms such as mean, median, mode, percentages, and probabilities. The participants did an excellent job of staying focused, and I am very confident they will excel throughout the math portion of the test.
Next week, the students will work on improving their English skills, and English is a portion of the exam that I am positive the students can score high on. If they continue to work as diligently as they have so far, I do not see any obstacles which could possibly restrain the students from achieving great ACT scores, thereby making them attractive candidates to many colleges and universities.
